In early September 2023, Moscow hosted the XXV International Forum “ELECTRIC NETWORKS”. EKRA Group has traditionally acted as the general partner of this event.
The most popular line of PAC IEDs for all voltage classes, including 6-35 kV IEDs with support of IEC 61850 standard, was presented at the exhibition booth of EKRA Group.
There was also demonstrated a wave FLOC device designed for for double-ended and single-ended fault location on 6-750 kV combined overhead and cable power lines with 10 to 800 km length.
The exhibition visitors showed great interest in the cyber-security solutions developed by EKRA for modernization of the station and bay levels of automatic process control systems of foreign manufacturers and automated measuring and information system for electric power fiscal accounting with domestic software.
Members of generating companies expressed interest in the generator stator protection and insulation monitoring cabinet. The cabinet can be used separately or together with PAC cabinets. The protection and monitoring area includes 100% of the generator stator winding and electrical circuits galvanically connected with the stator winding. The monitoring function is based on the principle of continuous insulation resistance measurement of generator stator winding and output of the measured value to a display or SCADA-system.
EKRA also presented low-voltage equipment: uninterruptible AC power supply system SBPPT series, designed to provide uninterrupted power supply to responsible consumers; three-phase rectifier TZPU, which is a converter of AC network voltage into DC voltage and is designed for reliable power supply of electric receivers at all times.
In addition to the exhibition, there was also an extensive business program, where moderators and experts discussed actual issues of modern power engineering and electrical engineering. For example, Vladimir Matison, Deputy on power industry digitalization at EKRA, highlighted the topic of intelligent power metering in distribution systems, and Alexander Guriev, Head of digital technologies, made presentations “Experience of implementation of centralized complexes of automated control systems at digital substations” and “Experience of development and implementation of projects of highly automated substations based on EKRA solutions”.
Roman Razumov, Director of power system automation department, presented three reports: “Experience in assessing compliance with information security requirements of PAC devices at ROSSETI using EKRA 200 series IEDs as an example. Results and conclusions of EKRA”, “Retrofit of protection, automation, and control systems of power facilities”, and “Controlled switching device for grid facilities of Russian UES”.
Such events allow to develop joint solutions, as well as new effective approaches not only to the creation of smart grids, but also to the further cooperation between developers, equipment manufacturers and power companies.
