The global pandemic situation has had a major impact on our lives but thanks to timely measures taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, has not stopped all our activities.
EKRA makes every effort to ensure that the Russian Federation's power sector never stops functioning. Thanks to modern means of communication, some employees work remotely. Professionals whose presence is required at the workplace are provided with adequate protection and disinfection aids. All personnel monitoring and registration measures have been implemented and a safe distance is provided between workplaces.
International organizations that have switched over to remote interaction between participants keep working. The same goes for the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), whose experts include EKRA Research and Production Enterprise.
On May 13 and 14, 2020 experts of Working Group 6 Generic Smart Grid Requirements held their online meetings. Vladimir Matison, Technical Deputy Director for Power Industry Digitalization of EKRA, took part in the events as an expert. The meeting participants identified areas for further work by the Group and agreed on approaches to their implementation. Proposals on the issues under consideration were accepted and Vladimir Matison was invited to participate in one of the planned areas of work.
