The International Forum Microelectronics 2020 took place in Yalta last week. The main topic of the forum was digital economy development in Russia: the participants discussed the promotion of integration in projects to ensure accelerated digital development.
In the demo zone of the forum, leading manufacturers of microelectronics and radio-electronic components presented their developments. As a partner company, EKRA participated in the collective booth “Territory of Rosseti” and demonstrated intelligent devices to build a digital network of substations: a digital relay protection IED, a converter of analog signals, and a universal time synchronizer. Also, the booth displayed a new development of the company – an automated information and measurement system EKRA-Energy Metering.
On the opening day, the exposition was visited by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Yury Borisov. It is worth noting that Yury Ivanovich Borisov is a Doctor of Engineering Science and supervises military-industrial complex development issues in the government.
Pavel Livinsky, CEO of Rosseti, Andrei Mayorov, First Deputy CEO and Chief Engineer of Rosseti, and Sergey Sergeev, CEO of Rosseti Kuban, also attended the exhibition. Valery Terentiev, Head of the Technical Marketing Department of EKRA, demonstrated the equipment and spoke about its benefits and application experience.
At the forum, the industry scientific and technical conference of radio-electronic industry was held, with discussion of current development, production, and use of Russian electronic component base and highly integrated electronic modules. Pavel Sorokin, Deputy Minister of Energy, Arya Ulanov, Acting Director of the Information Security Department of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media, and Konstantin Mikhailik, Deputy CEO of Rosseti, took part in the discussion.
The power sector is a fundamental element of critical infrastructure and it requires timely technological and information security. The industry needs to implement the most advanced technologies based on Russian solutions, and an important role in this process is assigned to manufacturers of radio-electronic products. These and many other issues were discussed at the roundtable “Prospects for Cooperation of Power Grid Companies and Radio-Electronic Manufacturers to Achieve Targets of Energy Strategy 2035”, which was held under the auspices of Rosseti. In his speech, Vladimir Naumov, PhD, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of EKRA Group, focused on the use of Russian ECB in equipment for the digital power industry. He highlighted approaches to expand the use of Russian electronics in the Russian fuel and energy complex.
At the end of the Microelectronics Forum 2020, the creation of a new consortium “Hardware and Software Packages and Control Systems for the Fuel and Energy Complex” was announced. The consortium was established by the Center of Competences for Technological Development of the Fuel and Energy Complex of the Russian Ministry of Energy and the Consortium of Radio-Electronic Industry with the participation of Rosseti Group. The consortium's goal is to promote the development and organization of production of electronic component base, radio-electronic equipment, and control systems for the fuel and energy complex; its participants will include Russian consumers and equipment manufacturers, universities, certification and standardization centers.
