Our low-voltage switchgears EKRA-LVAC-BSVD, made on the basis of cabinets with withdrawable modules, are designed for input and distribution of alternating current to consumers, as well as for controlling electric motors of shut-off and control valves and mechanisms
Application:
- auxiliaries of power plants, including nuclear power plants
- electrical equipment of power systems of various industry branches (oil and gas, chemical, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, etc.)
Front view
Functional modules’ compartment is the main part of the cabinet
Modules in cabinets of stationary design occupy the full width of the compartment (F)
Modules in cabinets with withdrawable modules have three dimensions in width: one third of the compartment’s width (T), half of the compartment’s width (H), full compartment’s width (F). And they also have several design types in height. The overall dimensions of the withdrawable modules depend on their purpose and the equipment placed in them
The cable compartment is designed to connect external cables
Power cable connection devices, auxiliary circuit clamps, vertical PE and N buses are installed in the cable compartment
To connect power cables, depending on the section, terminal clamps or ties are used. Double-deck terminal clamps are used to connect auxiliary circuits. In this case, throughout the height each group of terminal clamps or ties is located in the zone of the corresponding functional module
The main busbars are located in the upper part of the cabinet, behind the secondary circuits’ compartment
Installation of busbars on the edge ensures uninterrupted operation at increased thermal loads at rated currents up to 4,000 A due to natural heat removal without the use of forced ventilation
Access to horizontal busbars is available via removable roof only
Vertical distribution buses are installed in a separated compartment:
- in the side part or rear part in cabinets of stationary design
- in the back part in cabinets with withdrawable modules. Access to them is possible only for plug-in connectors of withdrawable modules
The distribution buses system can be single or double
Stationary module
Stationary modules are simple and easy to use:
- all devices up to 63 A have a quick-detachable screw-less attachment
- automatic breakers above 100 А are available in plug-in or withdrawable versions
Withdrawable module
The withdrawable part of the module is a metal structure on which the equipment is installed, as well as power connectors, auxiliary circuits’ connectors and interlocking nodes that ensure that the module cannot be moved when the circuit breaker is closed
The non-movable part of the module is attached to the cabinet frame and ensures reliable installation of the modules in the cabinet. Special rails allow smooth movement of the modules and latching them in the desired position
Microswitches located on the side walls serve to transfer information on the actual positions of the module to Automation and Process Control System
The IP rating of the cabinet with the module removed is IP20
Withdrawable modules have four latched positions:
- Connected position (operating)
- Test position (test)
- Disconnected position (isolated)
- Ready-for-extraction position
